Style & Quality

My drawings are unique and characterized with an accent of plants, flowers and colours.

Mugs are White ceramic mugs. Printed using dye sublimation which makes the design crisp and vivid. Top rack dishwasher and microwave safe.

Portraits are sent to you by email as digital file. (JPEG, 350 pixel, Printable 11X14', Other custom sizes are available upon request.)

About me

Sanae Kitajima  

From Saga, Japan

Currently live in Calgary, Canada

I've loved drawing since I was little, especially drawing animals and anime characters. I was a girl who had lots of dreams such as becoming a manga artist, painter, baker or teacher.

In high school, I was often drawing scribble-like portraits of my friends and teachers on notebooks.

I was also occasionally asked to draw portraits for welcome signs of weddings. This is one of the catalysts that launched CUSP CRAFTS.

English is my favourite subject which lead me to study English in Vancouver after graduating collage. There I was introduced to lots of different lifestyles of people and I was absolutely fascinated by Canada and gaining Permanent Residence became one of my life goals.

Moved in to Winnipeg in 2013, where I finally obtained my PR in 2017.
I volunteer at a local cat rescue.
And  have been surviving the awfully cold winters thus far.
Currently volunteering at local cat shelter.

I like dogs, cats, manga and plants and have great respect for studio Ghibli and Disney films.

小さい頃から絵を描くことが好きで、特に動物やアニメのキャラクターをよく描いていました。夢は多く、漫画家、画家、お菓子屋さんあわよくば教師。

高校の頃はよく友達や先生の似顔絵のような落書きをノートやプリクラ帳に描いていました。

次第に結婚式のウェルカムボードの絵を頼まれることも増え、それがCUSP CRAFTSを立ち上げる一つのきっかけとなりました。

英語が好きで、短大卒業後カナダのバンクーバーへ１年間の語学留学。そこでたくさんの人の生き方を知り、またカナダの魅力を実感し永住権を取ることを人生の目標の一つとしました。

2013年にウィニペグへ単身移住。2017年に念願の永住権を獲得。
少しでも保護犬、保護猫の活動を手伝いたく、ローカルのシェルターのボランティアをさせて頂いてます。
ものすごく寒い所ですが何とかやっています。
